With this project, we want to improve a part of our city, in accordance with expressed needs nominated by city administration, which will be designed in a new manner and equipped in a modern way. It is our desire to build a corner in this modernly arranged space that we will be happy to come to, primarily children and young people through construction of a football field and areas for various sports facilities, but also the elderly in areas for walking, running and bicycle paths. This project will be fully financed by the company ArcelorMittal Prijedor, and we expect the complete realization of the Project in a period of 18 months.
“I am extremely honored that today we are signing Agreement on a large and very important project. This will certainly be a gift to our fellow citizens, and I believe that by the end of 2024, we will complete all the works in accordance with adopted project and agreed schedule. As before, our company considered needs and expressed requests based on which we decided to support one such project through the social responsibility program in the amount of three million BAM. I sincerely hope that our fellow citizens will enjoy the contents planned through the Project”, said Mladen Jelača, CEO of ArcelorMittal Prijedor.
Since its establishment in 2004, ArcelorMittal Prijedor has continued tradition of Prijedor miners, to be socially responsible company and provides support in life and development of our city and communities. In this period, through corporate responsibility program, special attention was paid to projects in the fields of education, youth support, sports, culture and community development. More than 5 million BAM were invested in more than 450 projects.
