The company ArcelorMittal Zenica has temporarily suspended production, due to bad conditions prevailing on the steel market. After careful consideration and evaluation of all available options, on 11th November 2023, the operation of the blast furnace was temporarily suspended, after which production was successively suspended in the other plants as well. Production in rolling mill was suspended on 2nd November 2023.
Since ArcelorMittal Zenica is our only customer, we at ArcelorMittal Prijedor were forced to temporarily suspend work process. In cooperation with Trade Union organization of the Company, we are currently considering all options related to status of our workers. Our common goal is to find the best possible solutions for our employees during this period. We hope that market conditions will stabilize as soon as possible, which would allow us to start the production process.
